Cadence (the “Service”) is operated by True AI Ventures, LLC (“True AI Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and the Cadence apps for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Our data practices are intentionally minimal; if they change as the product evolves, we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above.
Information We Collect
- Email signup. If you sign up for updates on our website, we collect the email address you provide so we can contact you about Cadence news and updates.
- Website analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to manage analytics technologies, including Google Analytics. These technologies may collect information such as pages visited, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device information, and interactions with the website. Google may process this information on our behalf and may use cookies or similar technologies. This website analytics data does not include routines, workouts, or HealthKit data from the Cadence apps.
- App analytics. The Cadence apps send us anonymous usage events — such as when the app is opened, a routine is created or synced to the watch, or a subscription starts — along with the app version, operating system version, and coarse country. These events are identified only by a random identifier generated on your device. They never include your name, email address, Apple ID, IP address, precise location, routine contents, or health data, and we cannot use them to identify you. We use them to understand how Cadence is used and to improve the product.
- Routine and workout data. Routines, timers, and session history you create in the Cadence apps are stored on your device. Share links and the web routine builder encode the routine in the link itself; nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- Routine Together. If you host a live Routine Together session, the routine and live timer state (current step, countdown, and participant count) are held temporarily on our server under the 6-digit room code so joined devices stay in sync. Sessions expire and are deleted automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.
- Smart Import. If you choose Smart Import in the iPhone app, the text you pasted is sent to our server and passed to a third-party language model (Google Gemini) to read it into a routine. We do not store the text or the routine; we keep only request metadata (device identifier, app version, text length, outcome). Nothing is sent unless you tap Smart Import.
- Health data. With your permission, the Cadence watch app uses Apple HealthKit workout sessions to keep your timer active during a class. Health data is processed on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We never use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third parties.
- Feedback. If you send us feedback or bug reports, we keep that correspondence so we can act on it and follow up with you.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To understand website usage and evaluate product and marketing performance.
- To communicate with you about product updates.
- To respond to your support requests and feedback.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising on the Service.
- We share information only with service providers that help us operate and understand the Service, such as Google for website analytics, or when required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain signup emails and feedback only as long as needed for these purposes. Anonymous app analytics events are deleted after at most twelve months. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us. Data stored on your device can be deleted by removing your routines or uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
